Harper Government Focused on Canadian Jobs
Today, the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, and the Honourable Pierre Poilievre, Minister of State (Democratic Reform) and Member of Parliament for Nepean-Carleton, announced the awarding of a $137.8-million contract to General Dynamics Canada of Ottawa for upgrades to the Canadian Armed Forces' combat net radios and vehicle interface units.

Harper Government Welcomes Applications Under Round 4 of the Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program
October 24, 2014 - Ottawa, Ontario The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, today announced that up to $6.8M was awarded to over 80 projects undertaken between 2014 and 2016 under the third round of the Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program (RFCPP). She also highlighted that a fourth round of applications was announced by the Prime Minister on October 17, 2014. Interested groups have until December 12, 2014 to submit their projects.

Return of our fallen comrade
OTTAWA – Our fallen comrade, Corporal Nathan Cirillo, will be departing Ottawa today for his return home to Hamilton, Ontario. The transportation route will include a trip down the Highway of Heroes, which will allow Canadians to pay respects to both Corporal Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent.
