Valentines to Veterans
February 14, 2014 - In celebration of Valentines Day, I presented Veterans around the riding with valentines cards that were handcrafted by our students. In total, over 10,000 valentines were distributed to Veterans in over 1,200 care facilities. This is such an important cause in showing our appreciation for the service and sacrifice made by our Veterans. Those I met today were deeply touched by this gesture of respect!

February 8, 2014 - I held a meeting at the Lethbridge Legion with our local veterans. Some of the topics discussed included recent office closures, financial compensation, rehabilitation/employment, support for families, and the Veteran Affairs Canada budget. I found the meeting to be incredibly insightful and intend on bringing what was shared back to caucus.
