Kingsway seafood store fined $12,000 for selling undersized crab
The owners of a Kingsway seafood store pled guilty on Monday, February 17, 2014, in Vancouver Provincial Court, to contraventions of the Fisheries Act. The Honourable Judge William Kitchen ordered Yat Ming Enterprises Ltd. to pay a fine of $12,000 and directed that $11,900 of that amount be used for the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat in B.C.
Industry Minister James Moore Champions Canada in Silicon Valley
Industry Minister James Moore today concluded a successful trip to the San Francisco Bay Area. While in Northern California, Minister Moore met with Canadian entrepreneurs and promoted Canada's digital advantage to some of the world's largest digital technology companies, including Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Twitter. The Minister also hosted a digital innovation forum with representatives from a number of leading Canadian companies doing business in Silicon Valley.
