Catholic school boards across the country require its teachers to, “abide by the laws and regulations of the Roman Catholic Church and by word and example encourage students to do likewise.” This would include the prohibition of “sexual intimacy that violates the sacredness of marriage between a man and a woman.” But as Pope Francis has reminded the world’s billion-plus Catholics, one can hold this moral value and the moral value to be kind and tolerant at the same time.

Energy Safety and Security Legislation Receives Royal Assent
The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources and Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario, today announced that the Energy Safety and Security Act has received Royal Assent.

Greg Roach (Chair) After retiring from the Nova Scotia Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture in 2012, Mr. Roach set up a company that offers services in project management, training and advice related to the commercial fisheries, aquaculture and recreational fisheries in Atlantic Canada. Mr. Roach first joined the Nova Scotia Fisheries Department in 1976 as a Marine Biologist and retired as the Associate Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture.

New Landfill Gas Management System Now Operational
The landfill gas management system at the North Peace Regional Landfill near Fort St. John officially started operation today. Construction of the system began in 2013 and the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) commissioned it for operation in December 2014, fulfilling requirements under the provincial Landfill Gas Management Regulation.
